Whoever in Tilburg thinks of waste thinks of the Brabants Afval Team (BAT). Besides the collection of household waste in the local authority of Tilburg in the centre of Brabant, the BAT also supplies services to companies, associations and institutions. This involves skips and rolling containers with the sustainable processing of the waste collected and expert advice on waste treatment. The BAT then ensures that Tilburg and its environment stay neat and tidy, but the vehicles themselves must obviously also be kept clean!
BAT Tilburg called for the assistance of DiBO Project(s) for cleaning its vehicle fleet. In close consultation with the customer a project with 2 washing bays was developed to clean these lorries, refuse collection lorries, sweepers and other commercial vehicles, also in poorly accessible places.
This concerns a DiBO SBH-E, a self-service washing bay suitable for a single washing bay. The modular system works on the basis of an industrial stationary hot water high pressure unit, provided with electric heating. The installation has 3 standard washing programs – rinse, shampoo and wax – and is controlled by two dosing pumps.
A stationary and frequency-controlled cold water high-pressure cleaning installation (150 bar - 50 litres) was also provided to be able to wash with more persons at the same time with cold water, and a high flow rate pump to remove the coarse dirt from sweepers and refuse collection lorries.
DiBO also designed a walkway to be able to thoroughly clean the top of the vehicles as well. Finally, both washing bays were installed with a C-rail system with double hoses on both the bottom and above on the walkway. This is a construction with guide rails where the hoses do not touch the ground so there is less wear as a result. Each rail has a hose for high-pressure cleaning and a hose for foam cleaning available.
